We have undertaken several assignments in the third sector, generally (but not exclusively) with organisations that are associated in some way with the health and care sector. We have advised clients on process and technology issues in the following key domains within their operational models:

  • Fundraising

  • Volunteering

  • Donating

  • eCharity shops

  • Website redevelopment

  • Intranet modelling

  • Central versus local activity planning

  • Key systems requirements gathering

  • Procurement of key systems

  • Evaluations and impact assessments

  • Bid management and funding requests

  • Knowledge management

  • Business requirements gathering and analysis

  • Solution stack recommendations

Very often, this stems from an initial piece of work – the creation of a Digital Strategy and Roadmap. Once our clients understand how they can fundamentally transform their operations over a three year timeframe, they are keen to make a start as quickly as possible. We are at hand to help with the ‘what first?’ question, and have also assisted in the recruitment of capable staff who act as digital programme managers or transformation leads.

We strongly believe in helping our clients to become self-sufficient in their digital capabilities as soon as they are comfortable doing so. We facilitate knowledge handover sessions, and ensure that all of our work is fully documented so that it can be referenced by client staff whenever required.

Once our work with a client has been completed, we are often asked to provide a Quality Assurance role, occasionally a Board advisory role.

We are completely impartial when it comes to the selection of system vendors, and have helped clients from initial requirements gathering through market scanning and vendor selection to final procurement. Once the system is being implemented, we can then provide quality oversight to ensure that delivery matches the original specification.

We work with senior enterprise architects who can show you how your systems currently connect and share data (or don’t) and then either suggest new methods of interoperability, or how new better-connected systems might improve staff effectiveness and efficiency, as well as external stakeholders’ satisfaction

The ways that a charity’s supporters interact with it are critical to sharing your story, building trust and loyalty, and leveraging those relationships to advance the charity’s core purpose. We can assist you in effectively digitalising this journey, reimagining from scratch the best ways to communicate and share information with supporters, and for them to transact with you e.g. registering to become a volunteer.
